Our Aarti thali is inspired by the vibrant and powerful spirit of Durga Puja. Dominated by red and white hues, it is our way of honouring Maa Durga and embodying her strength, grace, and divine presence.

Elements of Devotion:

  • Dhunuchi Dance: A symbolic representation of the traditional devotional dance performed during Durga Puja. Dancers balance clay pots called Dhunuchi, filled with burning coconut husk and incense,  moving rhythmically to the beat of drums. The fragrant smoke is believed to purify the surroundings and ward off negative energies.
  • Sindoor Khela: A beloved ritual performed on the final day of Durga Puja. Married women apply vermillion (sindoor) on Maa Durga’s forehead and then lovingly smear it on one another, praying for the long life and prosperity of their husbands.

Colour Symbolism:

  • Red signifies Shakti, the fierce feminine energy that destroys evil and protects righteousness, as exemplified by Goddess Durga’s victory over the demon Mahishasura.
  • White symbolizes purity, peace, and the sincere seeking of divine blessings for a clear mind and heart.
  • Green, representing growth and harmony, reflects the nurturing aspect of the Goddess.

Through this thoughtfully designed Aarti thali, we celebrate not only the visual and cultural richness of Durga Puja, but also the profound spiritual values it represents - power, purity, protection, and love.
